First of all, a quick intro: I'm Lu and this is my Project365. The aim of the Project is to take a picture a day and to post it here. And you can help me by leaving comments and opinions and ratings about the pictures and the site! This can be done via the comments option, cbox (located at the bottom of the page) and the star ratings. It'd be very much appreciated and you'd make me a very happy girl.
Also, if you'd like to read a lil' more about the picture, what it means to me and why it's here, you can click on the pink number below each picture. It's expandable!
Happy browsing!
#141: Budweiser
Budweiser. This was taken at Betty's Midwest Kitchen in Aman Suria. It was a post-birthday dinner thing for me so Jaric and Lay took me here! This was Jaric's. It tasted like beer la LOL. Didn't know what it should have tasted like but yeap beer it was indeed. I for one cannot tell the difference between beers, except maybe the black kind because well, it's black. So yeaaaa. Beer. Comes with pouch leh - cute rite!

#140: Toy Drive
Toy Drive. MUPhaS was doing a toy drive for the kids of the Klang Hospital Paediatric Ward. I know the poster says Banting but their admin side was holding us back and so we switched places. This was supposed to be a sorting session, where we looked at all the toys brought in and see whether they were in good enough condition to be donated to the children at the ward. It ended up as playtime for us because the toys were so colourful and looked so fun, we really couldn't resist.

#139: Jie
Jie. Turned 11 on August 9th. I was held up in uni for something that lasted longer than it should have. And that's why he is in his jammies and looking like he just woke up. I rushed down the LDP, went into a random shop and bought him a water gun as an apology present - for making him wait so long to blow out his candles and cut a cake. He's been pestering for one so I decided wtheck!, and went ahead and bought a big blue and yellow one. He was pleasantly surprised. I never get him gifts. LOL. But I felt bad that I only got home 2 hours before his birthday officially ended so yeap - squirt!

#138: Salmon
Salmon. What did I tell you about us eating Japanese? We always do. During New Year's (painfully obvious how backdated this post is btw), I was asked what I thought my family was doing - I said going for breakfast, shopping at 1U, and perhaps lunch at Zanmai before heading back for a little Digimon on the PS. I was right. Spot on btw. This is how predictable our eating/shopping/holidaying habits are LOL. This was also in Zanmai in Pyramid, like this. But this was with family and that was with friends. Daddy's a big fan of Japanese so yes, I can has sashimi.

#137: Cake
Cake. A combined birthday celebration by the BPharm people for the July and August babies. Cake was from (where else?) Secret Recipe but it wasn't your usual Oreo Cheesecake or Chocolate Indulgence or even the Chocolate Banana cake like your average birthday cake. It was Pecan Butterscotch. Which was deeeeelicious. Absolutely yummified. Hah, speaking of cake, what wouldn't I give to have some cake now! :P

#136: Goose
Goose. Dad said he wanted to take us to this authentic Japanese restaurant downtown in KL, where the food was awesome and the price was well, equally awesome la let's just put it that way. We parked and went down and was told by the head waitress that they're not open on weekends, except for special functions and that day, by the looks of the suited-up serious-faced men rapidly conversing in Japanese were to be judged, they had a special function going on. Dad came up with an alternative. From a posh Japanese restaurant, complete with zen garden and bamboo forest, we proceeded to a grimy hawker centre somwhere along Jalan Imbi, with plastic chairs and really loud waiters to have this: roast goose. Oily and crispy, it was really quite good. We also had roast duck and siew yok and that chicken rice chili I've grown to love. Not very healthy. But super yums.

#135: Door
Door. Was volunteering at the Agathian's Shelter that day. We brought the boys out to the playground and let them loose. Some went on the swings and insisted we swing them. Others took the opportunity to kick a football around and some, well, some just went monkeying around, hanging from places you never thought a kid could hang and trying our patience. Spotted this abandoned door underneath a giiiaaannt tree and snapped. Only took 2, we were leaving already. So emo hor?

#134: Meeples
Meeples. They call themselves a European Boardgame Cafe and what you do there is you pay-to-play-per-hour and you get to choose from their wall-long collection of boardgames. Their people come explain the game and assist you, if needed and as in our case, laugh at our total hilariousnessness because we're funny people like that. We stayed 4 hours. Paid RM10 (we caught their opening promotion of buy 1 hour free 1 hour woot!). And had dinner at 10pm because we refused to let our free hour go wasted. LOL. But super duper mega ultra fun. (I was also very excited because they had clean white tables. Perfect backdrop for my pictures. But I dunno how this picture turned out with a pinkish hue to it. Oh well. Still good.)

#133: Temaki
Temaki. L-R: California Roll, Tuna Salad Temaki, and Aburi Salmon Mentai Temaki (my usual temaki order!) Celebrating a friend's belated birthday at Sushi Zanmai, Pyramid. Somehow we always end up eating Japanese when we're together and Zanmai is always the preferred place. After lunch, we went bowling and looking at the timeline of my pictures, were there from 2.30 - 6.30. Which I'm sure is not true. Don't remember what we did in between but if I had to guess, it'd be sitting down somewhere with a drink and talking. That IS what we do best. :)

#132: Lay
Lay. Or as people would know her, Linda. It was her 21st birthday and we had an impromptu celebration for her. It was a simple get-together just to celebrate her becoming an adult. Got her a cake, sang her a song, played with her niece (who's really growing up now and is super duper mega cute!) and just hung out. ♥

#131: Teddy
Teddy. We went furniture shopping for a set of lounge chairs and I spotted this teddy bear hanging around (geddit - hanging! Bad pun, couldn't resist sorreh). So cute rite! But a bit kesian la the fella probably never expected to be tied around the neck to a knob on a vanity table. But so Victorian! And so girly. The table was a mirror image of itself so if you folded it down in the middle it'd be a perfect match except for the companion bear this teddy had on the other knob. It was smaller and less cute. Oh, there also was a teddy stuffed into one of those compartment things you see on the right side of the picture. Adorable. But a bit sad. :(

#130: Dim Sum
Dim Sum. Buffet actually to be exact. A friend decided to celebrate her birthday by inviting us to have a dim sum buffet at One World Hotel and it was excellent. We could have all the dim sum we wanted and enjoyed a great time together. I don't see these bunch of friends very much but I love hanging out with them very much. :)

#129: Bendy
Bendy. Punny, no? This was at my grandma's farm in Gopeng and she had a really really tall ladies finger plant and this just totally caught my attention. Oh because of the pun it presented I really couldn't resist taking a picture! :D Wootwoot bendy bendi. :P

#128: Roti Tisu
Roti Tisu. It's a sugar-coated, 4-plate-long, savoury AND sweet piece of pastry that absolutely makes an entrance no matter where, what, who or where. Dripping caramelized sugar all over the plates lining the bottom, it's a messy thing to be eaten but a joy nonetheless. It's not very healthy (haha who am I kidding rite?) but it's tasty so whatup rite? :P

★. Was at Tropicana having a family dinner (trying to use up the food and bowling coupons they gave us for re-registering me as a member) when I spotted the star and decided to try out the Zoom Effect. This was the best shot I got out of the bunch. This is cropped, sharpened and Photoscape-style editted to make the star pop. A bit messy but I like it. :)
